Rooms The Twitchit Room (12-18 months)

Twitchit room offers superb care and education for children aged between 12 and 18 months. In the Twitchit room there is a strong focus on the prime areas of learning. The room is welcoming and cosy and well equipped to support the children attending. A wide variety of play materials are easily accessible to the children who are encouraged to self select and make choices for themselves. A nappy changing facility is positioned within the room and children are also made extremely comfortable within the playroom at sleep time ensuring the least disruption for them. They rest on comfortable beds with fresh bed linen and soothers as required. Soft lighting and music, along with practitioners reassurance helps encourage uninterrupted sleep.

Mealtimes are very sociable and toddlers enjoy freshly prepared meals with their friends at the table. Tablecloths and placemats detailing each child’s individual dietary needs are used, music is played and flowers placed on the table. Great emphasis is given to ensure mealtimes are familiar to that at home and a positive learning experience. Toddlers are fully supported but also encouraged to ‘have a go’ at feeding themselves closely supervised by their key person.
